Philadelphia is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Traffic in Philadelphia peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Taste of Punjab is an amazing spot! I’ve been here twice within the last 1-2 weeks. I finally got to try the Pani Puri (which sells out fast), it’s so tangy and refreshing! Everything is delicious here, and they cook with fresh herbs (mint, cilantro, chiles, etc) picked from their window-sill garden!!! Chicken Samosas are 🔥 Garlic Naan is 🔥 Pani-Puri is a must try 🔥 Lamb Chops are a must have 🔥 Customer service is 💯 Sam & Jasmine are so friendly and kind! This small family-owned establishment is a hidden gem!!

We always order from Taste of Punjab online, but this time we decided to dine in and enjoy it fresh—and we're so glad we did. The owner was incredibly kind and even stayed open late so we could eat. They treated us like family from the moment we walked in. The food was fresh, authentic, and amazing quality. They even gave us a free appetizer and dessert, which was such a thoughtful gesture. The restaurant was spotless, and you could tell they take pride in keeping everything clean. They've definitely earned customers for life. Highly recommend!

Indian food has always been my favorite. I’ve tried a lot of dishes, and I’ve declared more than a few places “the best”… only to change my mind later. Well—move over, everyone—because I have a new champion. Taste of Punjab in Philadelphia now holds the crown for the best Chicken Tikka Masala I’ve ever had. And listen… this place doesn’t come with flashy décor or trendy vibes. It’s kind of a dive. Minimal parking—especially after a snowstorm—but we eventually squeezed our way in, and I am so glad we did. Honestly, it’s the kind of spot that’s worth circling the block ten times just to find a parking space. While we were there, a steady stream of people came in for pickup orders, plus a few delivery drivers—which is usually a very good sign. The woman at the counter was super laid-back, friendly, and actually fun to talk to—great personality and totally on top of things. We asked for Paneer Pakora as an appetizer, and she suggested the Vegetable Platter instead since came with more variety and it was actually cheaper. Sold. It included vegetable samosas, mixed pakora, and paneer pakora—and wow, was that the right call. Everything was excellent, but the mixed pakora stole the show: s

Visited this place for the first time, we went there very late even though they stopped taking Dine in customers they let us sit and served us very well. Overall great flavor great experience. It’s a family owned business couldn’t get any better. I got to know that they use ghee and olive oil which is very healthy and uncommon in restaurants around the area. Highly recommended ❤️

My only gripe about this place was the parking situation, there is no parking lot, just say a prayer and hold your breath. We came for a late night dinner here after a show at about midnight, the Doordash & Uber Eats were a consistent flow. The waitress/hostess, the daughter of the owner was very hospitable and kind, great service. Free Pakoras were a hit! Evey dish we ordered was tasty, but every dish had bell peppers and onion chunks. The Lamb Kharai was the best I've had in a while, good portion, and not too many bones, with a thick delicious gravy that I enjoyed very much with the Garlic Naan. The Lamb Chops were good, nice seasoning, and char flavor from the Tandoor. The Rasmalai didn't taste housemade, but it was still good. The packaged Kulfi Ice Cream for $5 each was a bit steep in my opinion, as I usually get them for about half the price at the grocery store.
